Food and Friends is a volunteer run program that provides delicious, hot meals each Monday evening in St. Michael’s Church hall. The cost of a dinner is what guests can afford.
Each week a dedicated group of individuals help prep and cook the meal, set up tables, set place settings, serve the dinner, replenish place settings as dinner guests leave, wash dishes and clean the church hall at the end of the evening. While Food and Friends is an outreach program for St. Michaels Anglican Church, Bow Valley organizations such as The Rotary Club, and students from Canmore Collegiate High School and Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy volunteer on a rotating basis.
Local business have been regular, generous donors enabling us to provide between 200-400 meals each week! Canmore Evoolution donates vinegar and olive oil for cooking and salad dressings. Each week JK Bakery provides fresh dinner buns and Save on Foods donates a variety of cookies for dessert.
As Food and Friends continues to grow, we are always needing volunteers. Please consider joining us. Your presence does not go unnoticed.
